Andrea Phelps

As Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Andrea supports Foundation for the Carolinas' business team by ensuring they have the tools available to perform their jobs. This includes both software solutions as well as overseeing the discipline of business process management. Her role includes finding solutions that will enhance the day-to-day experience of our team. 

Andrea has been with the Foundation for more than 20 years and has held a variety of roles. Andrea most recently served as Vice President, Information Technology, working with team members and clients to develop frontline support and develop practices to deliver the highest level of donor and client support. 

She also serves as the business team lead on the core systems enhancement project – channeling her expertise to guiding an internal team dedicated to optimizing the advancement of our core systems – overseeing the complete solution, managing permissions, generating reports and directing both the development of business processes and the creation of work instructions. 

Andrea received her B.A. in Language & World Business from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the University of South Carolina, Darla Moore School of Business.
