Our Story

Established in 1958, FFTC helps people, nonprofits and companies maximize their charitable impact.

We provide personalized giving expertise, services and solutions that simplify and amplify giving – facilitating tens of thousands of grants each year that benefit worthy causes. We also help nonprofits foster sustainability through endowment management, grantmaking and customized solutions.

The people and organizations who partner with us not only bring their own charitable visions to life; they amplify their impact by supporting our work to drive positive change in our region.

Our Robinson Center for Civic Leadership convenes and connects community members to address our region’s most pressing challenges and opportunities, such as economic mobility, neighborhood revitalization and children’s literacy, among many critical causes.

All of this work takes place in our Uptown Charlotte home — a vibrant, welcoming community space dedicated to partnership and collective action. Headquartered in the Luski-Gorelick Center for Philanthropy on the Belk Place Civic Campus, our home serves as a thriving meeting and event venue. We provide no-cost conference space to local nonprofits and host hundreds of gatherings and celebrations each year.
